Speech Therapy

 

Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide assessment and treatment services for conditions and diagnoses including:

 

  • Aphasia 

  • Auditory processing difficulties

  • Apraxia

  • Dysphagia

  • Oral motor difficulties, drooling, facial paralysis

  • Tongue thrust

  • Social-pragmatic disorders

  • Voice disorders, resonance and fluency

  • Augmentative and alternative communication for adults

  • Cognitive skills related to attention, problem solving, immediate memory, short term memory, prospective memory skills; use of compensatory strategies

  • Executive functions: planning, decision making, time management, organization

  • Clear pronunciation, voice projection, and interview skills 

Occupational Therapy

 

Occupational Therapists (OTs) provide assessment and treatment services for conditions and diagnoses including:

  • Fine and gross motor sills 

  • Assist Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) (i.e. getting dressed, ability to shower, eating with utencils)

  • Gross, fine motor, and visual motor concerns

  • Handwriting and typing difficulties

  • Balance

  • Motor planning, body/spatial awareness

  • Upper body strengthening

  • Organization and planning skills
